Descripción: It is specially directed to last years or third-cycle students doing a final degree project or doctoral thesis. It can also be applied for by other researchers or teachers if they want to.
Temario: Library services: queries and book loan information and periodicals; bibliographic information; user's training; databases; electronic journals and inter-library loans (service rendered by some departments) Introduction to documentation: - Primary documents (monograph, series, grey literature, etc.) and secondary documents (dictionaries and encyclopaedias, bibliographies, catalogues) - Strategies of bibliographic search: location and achievement (collective catalogues, Rebiun). - Tools in different supports: internet platforms (Compendex, Scopus, WoK); engineering databases (Suscrinorma); scientific search tools (Scirus) and electronic journals. Electronic services to obtain documents. Electronic access to primary documents.. - Electronic services to obtain documents: JIT against JIC and its influence in the Library. Interpretation and generation of bibliographic entries: compulsory data, presentation and arrangement and bibliographic quotes (according to standard UNE 50-104-94 and Mtnez. Sousa). Reference Manager, EndNote and other bibliographic quotes management products.
Condiciones: Group training (4 to 30 people) at the Higher Technical School of Mine Engineering. Length of the course 2 hours Place and Timetable: To be agreed with the applicants.
