El Marañón by Diego de Aguilar y de Córdoba
An original manuscript of the sixteenth century written in humanistic script.
It was acquired by the University of Oviedo from the bibliophile Roque Pidal. This work takes its title from the Marañón River, that is, the high course of the Amazon. It deals with Lope de Aguirre's trip around that área.
It is an author's original copy and in case a copy should exist, it would be probably the copy located at the British Museum.
